GAOUTA



 Gaouta ( Sofia fahli ) is a musician based in Casablanca. She is known for her new style of music: the new wave in darija (Moroccan dialect). Her music, often described as emo, captures the essence of Moroccan youth. As a punk drummer, she composes alone, defying conventions and asserting her artistic independence. Her music is a bold exploration of melancholic sound textures with synthesizers from the 80s and Arabic chants. Gaouta seeks a unique hybridization between analog and acoustic sound, thus creating a captivating electronic music universe. Today, Gaouta leaves a lasting impression on the Moroccan music scene. Her authenticity and determination make her a prominent figure in contemporary music in Morocco.
